THE sun was rising when Tawaja Ramzia Djanoan closed the door of her house to hurry down the Daruba village road to the port. After 10 minutes, the 54-year-old woman arrived at the port and then boarded a motorboat. She was going to the Galo-Galo Island in Morotai Selatan subdistrict, which is an hour’s sail from Morotai Island, North Maluku.
