Budget Maneuvers for the Red-and-White Cooperatives

The funding scheme for the Red-and-White Village Cooperatives remains unclear, raising concerns it could burden the country’s fiscal health and Himbara banks.

COOPERATIVE Minister Budi Arie Setiadi has recently taken on an additional task. He must now prepare a variety of measures to realize another of President Prabowo Subianto’s ambitious program: the establishment of 80,000 Red-and-White Village Cooperatives by July 12, 2025, to coincide with National Cooperative Day.
