One scorching day at the cemetery in the village of Kepaon, Bali about 100 villagers attended a funeral procession, accompanying the photographs of I Made Wijaya, Ketut Nana Wijaya, Nyoman Mawa and Ketut Cindra. Without awaiting corpse identification, families of the four victims decided to bury them symbolically. By burying a piece of sandalwood, chosen for its pervading fragrance and as a sign of purity, the interment was complete.
