Tommy Suharto is enjoying many special privileges seemingly accorded to a defendant in a major criminal trial. One of these is the right to make wild allegations and statements. Although there are signals that as a fugitive Tommy received special treatment from the police who were assigned to apprehend him, Tommy's statements possess little significance from the legal perspective.
