The violence perpetrated against a number of TEMPO journalists by a group of people claiming to work for Tomy Winata on Saturday two weeks ago has been condemned by various prominent public figures. They said that the attack was an act of anarchy and reflected a Mafia threat to democracy. Tomy Winata has denied the charges.
