TV viewers who had been following the developments of the invasion of Iraq were thrown into a spin last week. Channels such as CNN, BBC, and even al-Jazeera were painting the picture that Baghdad had already fallen. US and allied troops were stepping up the bombing, followed by the mobilization of tanks across the Tigris River which grinded their way into the heart of the capital.
