IN the battlefield he was known as Ikhawanudin. He is only 27 years of age, but the continuing inter-religious conflict in Poso, Central Sulawesi, has made this young graduate of the economic middle school appear older than his actual age. When the town of Teluk Tomini was in the midst of the bloodiest assault in 2001, he received some military training at a camp in the Buyung Kateda, Malei.
