IN his first major policy speech last week, Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa stressed that Indonesia was set to play a more active role in the global arena in 2010, building on its achievements over the past decade. “The year ahead promises much in solidifying Indonesia’s place in the world—the reaping of its democracy dividend.”
