THE first Indonesia-Germany Bilateral Consultation meeting to discuss strategic steps to advance bilateral relations between the two countries was held at Borobudur Hotel last week, May 17.

According to Retno L.P. Marsudi, Foreign Affairs Department Director-General for the Americas & Europe, the meeting was a follow-up to discussions between President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and German President Horst Kohle and German Chancellor Angela Merkel
