UNDER the Conservative Party, the British government has tightened economic policy. The efficient policies carried out by Prime Minister David Cameron are such that he has had to appease the fears of some countries. It was for that very reason that the British Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Jeremy Browne, was in Jakarta last week.
