Reforms to reduce bureaucracy are very promising

Tuesday, April 12, 2016

DORIS Leuthard, Vice President of Switzerland, could not be more pleased with her state visit to Indonesia from March 31 to April 1. The trade value between the two countries has increased twofold from last year, with predictions for a further increase next year. She lauded the Indonesian government's efforts to make investing in the country easier for foreign companies.

"He (President Joko Widodo) has objectives that are very right and we are very supportive of him," Leuthard asserted. During her visit, she brought along 10 Swiss companies, some of them in the energy efficiency industry. The Swiss vice president emphasized that her country considered Indonesia as a valuable trading partner with a relationship dating that back to 1952.
