THE rupiah depreciation against the US dollar since May has reaped its pain. Prices of goods, particularly consumer products, are expected to soar next month. At least, milk formula producers have indicated this trend since the rupiah went beyond Rp9,000 per US dollar mark. Until Friday, the rupiah exchange rate against the dollar remained as weak as Rp9,390.
