THE eradication of timber theft in Indonesia seems to stop at mere rhetoric. The government continues to speak, while forest damage still rages. Even now, the government's resolve to capture the intellectual actors behind the timber thefts through Government Regulation in Lieu of Law (Perpu) on the Eradication of Timber Theft is no longer heard.
