All members of Pertamina's board of directors have been replacedsuddenly. The aim is for the state-owned oil & gas company to become more adroit and competitive.

UP to now, Ariffi Nawawi holds the record for having held the position of Managing Director of Pertamina for the shortest period of time. In less than a year—he was appointed as head of the state-owned oil & gas company in September last year—Ariffi has received his marching orders. He has been replaced by Widya Purnama—previously Managing Director of Indosat.
