THE sweet sound of gambang filled the air to greet the arrival of four high-ranking officers from Central and East Java at Wisma Perdamaian, Semarang, last Thursday. Host Central Java Governor Mardiyanto accompanied his three colleagues who were visiting his official residence that morning.
