Electricity Rate Hike in May

THE government will announce an electricity rate increase in May or June. According to Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Boediono, the extent of the rise will depend on the results of the Development Finance Controller agencys audit of the production costs of state electricity company PLN. Before making a decision, the government will first consult the DPR on the matter.
