THE record was repeatedly broken. In three consecutive days since last Tuesday, the Share Index at the Jakarta Stock Exchange skyrocketed. On that day, at close of trading, it touched the highest level in history, namely 1,417.4 points. The new record was reached after the index jumped 30.6 points or around 2.2 percent.

The following day, a new record was yet again set. This time, the increase was even higher, namely 2.5 percent, to 1,453.2 points
