THERES a desire to increase production, but unfortunately there are insufficient resources. This is what is currently happening at shoe factories in East Java, as reported to Imam Utomo, governor of this province. It was the Association of Indonesian Shoe Companies (Aprisindo) that conveyed the gloomy news, which in short meant: East Java has a dire shortage of workers who are skilled at sewing shoes and sandals.
