BANK Halim Indonesia is by no means a famous bank. Its assets were only Rp520 billion as of June this year and the head office is located in an old business district in Surabaya, East Java. In spite of this, world-class banks are currently taking a close look at this bank owned by Rachman Halim from the Gudang Garam cigarette company. One of the banks that is currently interested is the Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (ICBC).
