THE contract of work between tin mining company PT Koba Tim and the government on Bangka Island has gone on for more than 30 years. The joint venture between Malaysia Smelting Corporation Bhd (75 percent) with PT Timah (25 percent) seems to indicate that it is taking in tin or from illegal minders.
