A joint investigation has begun to look at a possible tax fraud by the Asian Agri Group. The Groups offices in Medan and Jakarta are also being monitored.

AN IMPORTANT meeting was held of the office of the Directorate General of Taxes on Monday last week. Led by the director general himself, Darmin Nasution, the meeting began at 8:30am and the decision was taken to set up a special investigation team. Its job: to investigate a suspected tax fraud by the Asian Agri Group (AGG), owned by tycoon Sukanto Tanoto.
