THE government has already prepared an agreement for the settlement of foreign subsidiary loans and investment fund bank accounts (RDIs). It is hoped that problems related to non-performing loans (NPLs) at many state-owned enterprises (SOEs) can be settled by the end of this year. Of the total in principal loans, interest and fines amounting to over Rp50 trillion (as of September 2007), Rp15.481 trillion at 44 SOEs is of NPL status.
