THE pulse of Indonesia's economy continued its upward trend. Top company executives are increasingly optimistic with their businesses. However, the improvements don't yet touch low-income people. They were still reeling from basic goods price increases.
Consequently, the Consumer Confidence Index which soared at the beginning of the third quarter nosedived. The confidence index on the government's ability to control prices also continued its downward
