THE tender for the supply of coal to power plant Tanjung Jati B in Central Java, had to be repeated. It was not due to lack of participants or incomplete tender participant requirements. The cause was the project owner, PLN, the State Electricity Company. “All participants proposed prices far above the Indonesia Coal Index which PLN uses as a guideline,” said Deputy CEO of PLN, Rudiantara.
