State Electricity Company, PLN, faces two large problems, the fact that the differences between capacity and financial deficit are becoming larger and larger. The solutions are: increasing the capacity of power plants; regulating demand; and raising electricity tariffs. However, industry groups are dubious about pledges of electricity supply from PLN.
