The creative economy has already become a global issue. For the first time ever, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) has issued a comprehensive report regarding the global creative industry. This document is also to assist the governments of developing countries in making creative industry development policy.
The Government of Indonesia is also following this trend and has even already created a blueprint. Unfortunately, the support of the government is limited to only this.
AMID the hustle and bustle of Jalan Trunojoyo and Jalan Sultan Agung, Bandung, West Java, Saturday afternoon two weeks ago, a black bus was parked among cars with Jakarta number plates. Young people could be seen queuing at the back door. People seemed to be paying more attention to this bus, which was in fact too large for the size of the streets in Bandung, than the garment distros (distribution outlets) that are scattered around this district
