THE Juanda Room in the Finance Department, Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta, was full last Tuesday. Senior officials from international financial institutions were there at the invitation of Finance Minister, Sri Mulyani Indrawati. There were heads from rating agencies such as Fitch, Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s. Also present were bosses from Barclays Capital, Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, Merrill Lynch, and UBS.
