The State Gas Company, PGN, requested that the price of industrial gas be in line with the market mechanism. However, the government should still remain involved.

THE report came from Michael Baskoro. The State Gas Company, PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), has already received the green light from the government to sell gas at market prices. “We are just waiting for the right time,” said the commercial director of this state-owned enterprise in Jakarta on Wednesday last week.

The prices of gas sold by this company are in fact set by the government, according to the 2001 State Decree on Oil & Gas.
