PERTAMINA is under the spotlight again. Early this year, the state-owned oil & gas company was seen to have mismanaged fuel distribution which resulted in a serious shortage of Premium gasoline. In the middle of protracted negotiations on the development of Natuna D-Alpha Bloc gas reserve involving Pertamina, one of its Premium storage tanks at Plumpang depot in North Jakarta caught fire, two weeks ago.
