AN airplane bearing registration number PK MZG is parked outside a hangar at Xi’an Xianyang International Airport in the Chinese province of Xian. Its fuselage painted white and its tail light-blue with three yellow stripes. The multi-propeller plane carries the logo of the Indonesian Merpati Nusantara airlines.

According to a Tempo source in the government, the airliner is one of 13 MA-60 planes PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines ordered from Xian
