Garuda Profit Soars

AFTER losing for three successive years, PT Garuda Indonesia last year recorded a net profit of Rp699 billion, shooting up by 1,000 percent against 2007, with only Rp60 billion. It was among others due to the 37 percent net income rise to Rp19.4 trillion. This income boom was contributed by the 9 percent increase in the number of passengers to 10.1 million.
