The Bakrie Group was appointed by the West Nusa Tenggara provincial government and the regency governments of West Sumbawa and Sumbawa to join their regional company in purchasing a 10 percent share in Newmont. They are also aiming to purchase a further 21 percent share, which is the share of the central government.
