Guarantee Interest Rate Down

THE Deposit Insurance Agency (LPS) has once again lowered the interest rate level for rupiah savings to 7.25 percent from 7.5 percent. A similar reduction happened to savings in people's credit banks, from 11 percent to 10.75 percent. "But the normal interest rate for the US dollar remains at the 2.75 percent level," said LPS Secretary, Ahmad Fajarprana, in Jakarta last week.
