Signs of Recovery
INDONESIAN tourism is showing signs of recovery after the bombings of the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels in Jakarta on July 17. Wiryanti Sukamdani, head of the Indonesian Association of Hotels & Restaurants, said hotel occupancy rates had risen to 69 percent in Jakarta, up from as low as 55 percent in the wake of the bombings, and 60 percent on national average.
