Pertamina will increase the price of 12-kilogram LPG cylinders every month. Covering losses is the main justification, but it has the potential to trigger people buying the 3-kilogram cylinders that are subsidized by the government.

SIX 3-kilogram LPG cylinders and three 12-kilogram LPG cylinders were stacked neatly on steel shelves in front of Indomaret, Jalan R.E. Abdullah, Bogor, on Wednesday last week. The nine green and blue gas cylinders were chained and padlocked. Two labels were visible on a piece of plastic-laminated paper stating "Rp13,250" by the green LPG and "Rp73,500" under the blue LPG.
