KUR Regulations Eased
THE government has relaxed the regulations on people's business loans or KUR. There is a reduction of interest rates for micro loans from 24 to 22 percent. Interest rates with a ceiling of Rp5-500 million are also corrected from 16 to 14 percent. There are also facilities in repayment periods, up from three to six years, and the requirement for debtor information system for micro loans is abolished.
