The Indonesia Stock Exchange fined three companies from the Bakrie Group as well as PT Benakat Petroleum Energy because of their erroneous annual reports. The Capital Market Supervisory Board immediately started investigating the case.

THE management of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) was furious. On Thursday last week, the stock exchange authority handed down fine sanctions of Rp500 million to three Bakrie Group companies and one other company, PT Benakat Petroleum Energy. The three Bakrie companies to be penalized were PT Bakrie & Brothers, PT Bakrie Sumatera Plantations, and PT Energi Mega Persada.
