PLN Buys Methane-Gas Electricity

THE State Electricity Company PT PLN is buying methane-gas electricity produced with a capacity of 2 MW from a garbage dumpsite at Bantar Gebang in Bekasi. “The first contract will run over the next seven years,” said CEO Dahlan Iskan in Bekasi on Tuesday last week. PLN will pay the garbage dump operators PT Godang Tua Jaya and PT Navigat Organic Energy Rp820 per kilowatt hour (kWh) of electricity
