The debate on budgetary changes between the government and the House of Representatives (DPR) has dragged state-run power company PLN into the fray. They have been accused of not being efficient in managing the business because they have asked for double their usual electricity subsidy, from Rp40.5 trillion to Rp93 trillion. The DPR Energy Commission has rejected the proposed change and granted a subsidy of Rp65 trillion.
