In March, 35 businessmen from the Indonesian Association of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Companies (APCNGI) sent a strongly-worded letter to the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry. They asked for the allocation of special gas for transportation whose upstream price had reached US$4.72 per million British thermal units (mmbtu). "It might as well have been written in our blood," said Danny Praditya, then chair of the association.
