The outcome of a feud between Pertamina and PGN remains uncertain. State Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan needs to act fast.

The position of PGN, the state gas company, is far better than state oil company Pertamina's. At least, that is what can be surmised from the official minutes of two recent meetings: one at the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) on December 20, 2013; the other at Pertamina's head office on January 7. Both were leaked to the media in mid January. The two companies are involved in a cold war over the sale of gas in the downstream sector.
