Cutting Back the Easy Money

Tuesday, February 24, 2015

FOUR employees could be seen stamping and folding thousands of 2015 Tax Due Notification Letter for Land and Building Taxes (SPPT-PBB) forms at the West Java's Subang Finance and Asset Revenues Management Department. "These SPPT-PBB forms must be distributed to the public immediately," said Harry Rubiyanto, the department's chief of revenue division II, last Wednesday.

Residents of Subang's 235 villages expect to receive the forms no later than the middle of March. The form distribution should help the regency achieve its land and building tax (PBB) revenue target of Rp30 billion, which Harry said was an increase of Rp6 billion from the Rp24 billion taken in a year ago.
