Since the depletion of national rice stocks, rice traders in Cirebon, West Java, no longer calmly wait for deliveries from agents who have been their main suppliers. The rice traders in one of West Java's paddy centers are now going directly to the rice mills. "If we just rely on deliveries, we won't get our share," said Dedi, a rice trader at Pasar Pagi Cirebon on Monday last week.
