This year, end-of-fasting-month Lebaran festivities will leave a rather bland aftertaste. Businesses are suffering from a much slower turnover than previous years. The Indonesian economy has yet to show any strong signs of recovery.
In the first quarter of 2015, nobody is really worried about the slowdown, most regard it as a normal and temporary down cycle before the government's budget disbursement. When July comes and the slump persists, then anxiety will start to rise. Will the economy really end this year with a much slower growth?
