TEGUH Pamudji did not think long to finalize the draft regulation in lieu of Ministerial Decree No. 11/2014, early last month. In a meeting with Bambang Gatot Ariyono, the director-general for minerals and coal at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, and Hufron Asrofi, head of the ministry's legal bureau, the Energy Ministry secretary-general ensured everything had been taken care of. The meeting was held in the offices of the directorate-general of electric power in Kuningan, South Jakarta.
Within a day, the Energy Ministry had sent a draft of the regulation to the Justice and Human Rights Ministry. "We are concerned about the performance of the industry, which has slumped because the price of commodities has dropped," Teguh said by phone last week.
