Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Ade Komarudin moved quickly. Having brought the leaders and members of the party faction together to meet with President Joko Widodo, the prospective chairman of the Golkar Party went first to see Vice President Jusuf Kalla at his office last week. He was accompanied by Ade Ahmadi Noor Supit, chairman of the DPR's finance committee and a member of his campaign team for chairmanship of the Golkar Party.

The two discussed the followup to a recent meeting between President Jokowi and DPR leaders on the tax amnesty bill. Ade and Ahmadi reported to Kalla that discussions were already underway.
