In a meeting held at the coordinating ministry for the economy on Tuesday last week, the government's strategy to suppress the skyrocketing onion price was first on the agenda.
Present were State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Minister Rini Soemarno, Trade Minister Thomas Lembong, Industry Minister Saleh Husin, Presidential Chief of Staff Teten Masduki, Coordinating Minister for the Economy Darmin Nasution and Yanuardi, the agriculture ministry's chief of vegetables and plants at the directorate-general of horticulture.
