Rice-Planting Acceleration Protested

The Padang Legal Aid Institute (LBH) has protested a circular letter on rice-planting acceleration issued by West Sumatra Governor Irwan Prayitno. The institute believes that the letter can potentially rob farmers of their farmlands. "[The letter] strips farmers' rights over their own lands," said LBH Padang director Era Purnama Sari.
