Confusion over School Zoning

The zoning system applicable this coming school year for student enrollment has triggered protests. The system places students at a disadvantage, and no infrastructure support is yet in place.

Minister of Education and Culture Muhadjir Effendy's cellular phone rang while he was leading a meeting to discuss the educational fund management agency. No caller ID appeared on the cell phone. "The caller was a student in Nunukan complaining about the zoning system," he told Tempo the next day.
