Weak But Still Rising

Half year financials of several large listed companies have begun to emerge in the media. The numbers show continued weak performance, a sign that the economy has yet to fully recover. Retail companies, like Matahari Department Store and Hero Supermarket, have each shown revenue growth, but still much below a year ago. Consumer companies, like Unilever Indonesia and Indofood CBP, have also posted similar weaker results than last year.
